Captured for a school project, this is a single long exposure detailing patterns and movement from late afternoon Nevada desert winds. A lone tab of a can sits nestled at the base of some blowing sagebrush, something I did not see until post. The Nevada desert is filled with littered antiquities from careless people of a distant past. Cans are like an exposed time capsule, some have been sitting for decades around this area, and are completely rusted, partially covered with dust and dirt. Some cans in these Nevada desertscapes are in rusted piles from beer drinking party’s decades ago. Right below the drop off here in the foreground, sits around 5 ripped garbage bags of grass and yard trimmings that was dumped here at this beautiful vantage point, a testament to the ongoing disregard and disrespect for special places, and places where it is a privilege to visit.
